Meet our Wyevale Nurseries Scholarship winner Nicole Harding

Our team member Nicole Harding is one of six winners of last year’s Colegrave Seabrook Foundation Smart Garden Products Scholarship.
Nicole, who is currently studying for her Level 3 Crop Technician Apprenticeship at Pershore College and working with us here in Hereford, has had a truly inspiring journey into horticulture.
True passion
After finishing school, she initially pursued criminology at university but soon realised her true passion lay elsewhere – in horticulture.
Fascinated by plant life from a young age, Nicole decided to follow her heart and enrolled on an apprenticeship course at Pershore College.
Deepen her knowledge
At the time of receiving her scholarship, Nicole was employed at Allensmore Nurseries.
Since then, she has joined us, where she is embracing every opportunity to deepen her knowledge and refine her craft.
Her enthusiasm for propagation has grown significantly, and she hopes to build a career in this area or in garden design.
Long-term ambitions
One of her long-term ambitions is to showcase her work at a Royal Horticultural Society show, sharing her creativity and dedication with a wider audience.
On learning of her success, Nicole said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be awarded this bursary, and I am excited to explore the opportunities this gives me.”
Continued commitment
We are delighted to support Nicole on her journey and grateful to Smart Garden Products for their continued commitment to nurturing talent in horticulture through the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation scholarship programme.
