Many of us have been with the business for anything from five to 30 years plus. This is a testament to our happy working environment here.
Established in 1930, and trading across 10 decades, we’re leading suppliers of wholesale plants to the amenity and retail sectors.
But it’s not just the expertise of those that have been with us for many years that we prize. We also take our young talent seriously too. Our successful in-house apprenticeships and trainee manager programmes are renowned. Recently eight colleagues graduated from these initiatives into more senior roles or are actively working through our training and management scheme.

Andy, who has a BSC in Horticulture from Reading University, has been with us for more than 30 years. He joined as a management trainee in 1988 and has worked across the business as a Manager and Director, gaining extensive knowledge and experience, before becoming our Managing Director in 2013.
Commercial Sales Director
Ian joined us in 2019 and heads up our three sales teams. Prior to his role here, he worked for various other well-known nurseries. Ian studied at Askham Bryan College and has a HND in Landscape & Horticultural Technology.
Amenity Sales Manager
Andy has been with us for 25 years and studied at Pershore College of Horticulture before working at two other major nurseries and as Plantation Manager at Exbury Trees. He leads our amenity team to maximise and advance our products and services to all areas of the amenity landscape market.
Amenity/Landscape Sales Key Account Manager
John started his career aged 14 at a bedding plant nursery and has a Horticulture & Business Management degree. He joined us in 2013 and is an expert when it comes to our British-grown trees. John works closely with our Field Production and Container Tree Unit Teams and our landscape customers.
Amenity Sales Executive
Alan joined us in 2019 and works on tenders and quotes for existing customers, as well as developing new business. He’s spent his whole career in horticulture, working in sales previously for some well-known South East-based wholesale nurseries. Alan studied at the Welsh College of Horticulture in Mold, North Wales.
Garden Design & Domestic Landscape Manager
Adrian is our Garden Design & Domestic Landscape Manager. So, if you’re a Landscaper, Garden Designer, Nursery or Garden Centre wishing to use our excellent Cash and Carry service, Adrian will understand your requirements exactly and be able to help you with the plants you need when you need them.
Retail Sales Manager
Colin has been with us for more than 20 years. He has 40 years plus industry experience having worked for several top nurseries. He enjoys working closely with garden centres, building a rapport and meeting individual requirements. Colin also won the Pershore College Horticultural Apprentice of the Year Award in 1981.
Garden Centre Sales Executive
Lisa maintains and develops relationships with customers and assists with product developments, marketing initiatives and promotions. Prior to her role at Wyevale Nurseries she worked for a large garden centre group and uses her experience of buying to ensure she offers the best to her customers.
Kyle, who has a BSc from Pershore College, is one of our young ‘homegrown’ managers, having successfully completed our management training scheme. He’s a proactive member for the Young People in Horticulture Association. He was instrumental in helping us achieve our first, and subsequently annual, independently audited Plant Healthy Certificate.
Karen is our Transport Coordinator. She first joined us as a Quality Controller on our despatch line before moving to our transport department where she has been coordinating deliveries for our customers and providing a vital link between them and our lorry drivers. She offers an excellent service to our customers nationwide.
Russell has been with us for more than 45 years and has worked with several generations of the Williamson family down the decades. He manages our despatch team and has an incredibly detailed knowledge of every customer’s requirements. He’ll always go that extra mile to deliver an outstanding service to everyone.
Payroll and Credit Control Manager
Diane comes from a farming background and in 1989 moved from north Herefordshire to Hereford after marrying a farmer from the area. She joined us in the same year, initially as a receptionist but shortly moved to the Accounts Department. She has been with us for more than 30 years.
