James joins us as our Key Account Manager

James Gormley who has a strong background in arboriculture and tree sales has been appointed as our new Key Account Manager (March 2025).

James will be assisting local authority sectors, as well as both landscape architects and contractors, with technical tree sales.

Passion for trees

Vast experience

James’ arboriculture background is rooted in the local authority and contractor sector. He began his tree career gaining vast experience with best practice tree surgery operations for both council and private organisations. His passion for protecting valuable trees lead to providing site-specific solutions on tree root protection through planning approvals.

A personal favourite of his was the tree root protection he provided for the ancient ‘Old Man’ Quercus robur at Calke Abbey.

For the past 10 years, James has worked within the most prestigious of tree growing nurseries, assisting the industry with tree recommendations and supply. His passion for tree biodiversity drives him to understand tree planting that is in line with the UK’s environmental goals. This includes:

• Biodiverse tree selections for the climate change in the UK
• Research into a diverse mix of tree species to increase the declining bee population
• Tree recommendations within urban applications and site-specific benefits
• Trees that will assist with the UK becoming carbon natural
