Foxbury Fields wins at WineGB Awards

We’re delighted that Foxbury Fields Vineyard, our sister company and part of the Wyevale Nurseries family, received a Bronze Medal at the Wines of Great Britain (WineGB) Awards last year.

This recognition was given for Foxbury Fields’ beautifully crafted Ortega – in a year where still wines, for the first time ever, surpassed sparkling in both entries and medals. It’s a milestone moment for English wine and a proud achievement for our team.

English Wine Sector

English wine has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and this year’s WineGB Awards reflected that boom. Judges evaluated hundreds of entries from a diverse range of producers – large estates to micro‑vineyards like ours.

Foxbury Fields scored an impressive 87 points, securing the Bronze medal among a field of outstanding wines.

WineGB, the national association supporting vineyards across England and Wales, champions quality and sets high standards across the sector – making this award even more meaningful.

Melania Battiston, Judging Panel Lead, commented: “With still wines, while the quality is undoubtedly high, they are less predictable, which is part of what makes them so exciting.

“There’s a sense of freedom and experimentation, with winemakers exploring their own styles and, thanks to WineGB, increasingly gaining well-deserved recognition for it.”
