Crop Technician Apprenticeship

What does the training include?
Safe use and application of Pesticides tests and nationally recognised certificates
Spend time at Pershore College in weekly block releases
Gaining experience in all departments across Wyevale
Visits to industry shows, other nurseries, Malvern Spring Show and other interesting events
A weekly opportunity to see what is happening in all areas of the nursery
Assisting with technical issues e.g.. transition to Peat Free
Lifting stock for plant identification August to December
What qualifications and skills do I need?
GCSE English and Maths (A-D) equivalent of 9-3
Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4 or C or above) will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment. This can be completed as part of the apprenticeship

Pay is National Minimum wage
Hours vary on department and seasons
Winter: Mon to Thurs 7.50-4.30, Fri 7.50-3.30
Summer: Mon to Thurs 6.50-3.30 Fri 6.50-2.30
