We’ve launched a peat-free range of plants in our 2024 catalogue

We’re launching a range of peat-free plants for 2024 and those attending Four Oaks Trade Show this week will be able to chat to our team about them (September 5 and 6, 2023).

The collection includes Digitalis, Echinacea and Helenium.

Our Head of Business Support, Carol Dickinson explains: “Our 2024 promotional catalogue features seven plants now completely ‘Grown in Peat Free Compost’ that are available to order now for delivery next year. We’re also working on expanding our range further in 2024 and beyond; this is just the start.

“Our team will be on Stand D87/86 at Four Oaks and we’ll be available to chat to anyone who comes along, customers old and new, about our completely peat-free options.

“We’ve also produced a leaflet that our commercial customers can download for free from our website, it’s in our ‘news & projects’ section. It’s designed to help them get to grips with going peat-free. It provides a guide to the changes in the law around peat usage.

“It’s also important for retail and amenity teams to know how they can best care for the plants grown in peat-free compost that they order from us. These products are proving to be very different from peat-based ones. It’s crucial our customers are offered support to ensure they understand how to look after plants in this new growing medium.

“Our flyer also gives some information about our peat-free plant production here at Wyevale Nurseries and features facts and figures around it, and what we have learnt through our trials.”

Our peat-free range includes:
